Bleach 186: Ichigo Rages! The Assassin’s Secret
We’re coming to an end of the Bleach fillers now, hopefully. In this episode, we find out who really is behind all the scheming and it is not Kumoi. These fillers are so predictable, maybe they’ll be different and throw in a plot twist but at the moment I don’t see that happening. Some people say these are better than the Bounto fillers but I thought those were well done.
The episode starts off with Yamamoto explaining that the Kasumi-Ouji family produce many swords for Shinigami but have been secretly creating the Bakkoutou. He orders all shinigami to infiltrate the Kasumi-Ouji estate and leaves Byakuya in charge of it.
Kumoi starts to retreat further into the estate and opens up a room with tons of Bakkoutou. Word spreads to all the squads about the new orders to enter the Kasumi-Ouji estate and all the fights cease. Matsumoto and Rukia stop their fighting but are attacked by assassins using the Bakkoutou seen earlier.
Hisagi, Iba, Madarame and Ayasegawa all attack the assassins on their way to the estate. Amagai and Hitsugaya also cease their fight and Amagai disappears somewhere. In the estate, Ichigo is looking for Lurichiyo and encounters a couple of assassins. Rukia comes along and takes Shuu with her to continue the search while Ichigo holds off the assassins.
Kumoi tries to escape to the forge where the Bakkoutou are made, but Soi Fong and Yoruichi are able to break the barrier to the forge. The forge is then secured by Ukitake and Kyouraku.
Having nowhere else to escape to, Kumoi takes Lurichiyo hostage and proceeds higher in the estate. Ichigo finally catches up to him and confronts Kumoi. Ichigo asks what his intentions are but Kumoi does not answer him. Lurichiyo then tells Ichigo that his plan is to take over all of the nobility in Soul Society.
At this point Amagai appears and stands between Kumoi and Ichigo. Kumoi sees Amagai and becomes terrified. Amagai kills Kumoi in one strike and takes the four eye balls of the more advanced Bakkoutou. He creates a giant ball of light, grabs Lurichiyo and takes her into the light with him.
As Kumoi is dying he asks why has this happened since he had done everything that he was asked to do. With his last words Ichigo and the others realize that Kumoi had been working for Amagai the entire time. Amagai is seen teleporting to Yamamoto with Lurichiyo and the episode ends.
Thoughts: Okay who didn’t see this coming? It’s pretty obvious this would happen because how else will Amagai be removed from the story?
I hear a lot of people saying that Yamamoto could be working with Amagai as well but that is completely stupid. This is filler and has nothing to do with the story at all, I guess that could be a way Yamamoto betrays but still.
Maybe Amagai pretended to ally himself with Ichigo and is secretly doing something for Yamamoto. He takes the 4 Bakkoutou eyeballs as well as Lurichiyo to Yamamoto for his secret plan, but still turns out to be good?
Since there was no preview next week, we can’t really guess where the story will be going so we’ll just have to wait and see how the story proceeds after seeing episode 187.
Something I still believe is that Lurichiyo is special and there might be two beings in her. Luri and Chiyo. Maybe it was just a mess up with Hanza called her Luri-hime but I still can’t get that theory out. Since she refers to herself in the plural form, it might just be something unique they gave her and nothing else.
