Brad and Angelina Create New Clinic in Ethiopia

Yesterday, we showed you the list of the most generous celebrities and, of course, Brad and Angelina were listed in the top 10. Now they prove once again just how philanthropic they are by making a $2 million donation to the Global Health Committee. Specifically, they’re going to build a center to help children with HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in Ethiopia. Just like they did with the Maddox Chivan Children’s Center in Cambodia, the power couple is naming the new Ethiopian branch after Zahara, 3, who they adopted from Ethiopia.
“It is our hope when Zahara is older she will take responsibility of the clinic and continue its mission,” Brad said. The center will focus on AIDS and tuberculosis care. Tuberculosis brings about 2 million deaths every year and it’s the largest cause of death for children and adults with AIDS.
If all celebrities did this sort of stuff, who knows what kind of world we’d live in?
