“Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” First Footage From ABC Movie Special:

Action-horror-thriller movie “Blood: The Last Vampire” has welcomed its new trailer, less than two months after its full-length Japanese trailer debuted in March. The more than one-minute footage, which is exclusively featured on ShockTillYouDrop.com, begins with a scene showing its main character Saya fighting her enemy inside a moving train. And as the video keeps rolling, more of Saya’s fighting scenes are exposed. She is mostly seen in the trailer using her samurai skills to fight her foes.
Based on a 2000 anime film of the same title which was produced by Production I.G and Aniplex, “Blood: The Last Vampire” centers its story on Saya, a 16-year-old girl who was born to a human father and a vampire mother. Growing up as a loner, she is obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood like those she hunts. Sent onto an American military base in Tokyo, she sees it as the opportunity to destroy Onigen, the evil patriarch of all vampires. Soon after befriending the young daughter of the base’s general, she learns about her true power.
Starring as Saya in this Samuel Goldwyn Films’ production is South Korean actress and model Jun Jin Hyun. She is joined in the cast ensemble by the likes of Allison Miller, Koyuki, Liam Cunningham, JJ Feild, Andrew Pleavin, and Michael Byrne. The movie itself is scheduled to be released in theaters in U.S. on June 12 later this year.

A brand new trailer of upcoming movie “Land of the Lost” has made its way out for public’s viewing. Unlike the previously released trailer, this one gives a closer look into what the film’s major characters Will Ferrell’s Dr. Rick Marshall, Anna Friel’s Holly, and Danny McBride’s Will, have to experience when they land their feet in an alternate universe which is full of dinosaurs and some other fantastic creatures.
The more than 2 minutes footage is begun with a scene showcasing Dr. Rick giving a presentation about amplifier in front of some students. It then continues giving a look at him being interviewed by Matt Lauer. The rest of the trailer subsequently tells about what the threesome has to deal with during their time in the land of the lost, where they make friends with Chaka, which is described as a primate. As all of them continue their journey, Dr. Rick, Holly, Will, and Chaka meet some creatures they have never seen before, like Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pterodactyls and Sleestaks. At one point, Dr. Rick is shown in the video being stung by an insect and immediately falls asleep.
Coming out from the production hands of Marty Krofft, Jimmy Miller, and Julie Wixson Darmody, “Land of the Lost” actually is based on the classic television series of the same name created by Sid and Marty Krofft. This adventure-comedy-sci-fi flick tells the story of Dr. Rick Marshall as he is sucked back through time and lands on an alternate universe. There, he, his research assistant Holly, and redneck survivalist Will find a world full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures. Universal Pictures will release the movie in U.S. theaters on June 5 later this year.

Another poster of “H2: Halloween 2” has been unveiled through director Rob Zombie’s MySpace. The one-sheet in a blue shade gives a more up-close shot of Michael Myers, the villain who is made more human-like than other “Halloween” series.
The subject of Myers being unmasked for 70% of the movie has also been clarified by Zombie who told Slash Film that it is an utter “bullshit”. He explained, “It is total bullshit. See, I think Wayne Toth [SFX] said [70% mask-less] when you guys were down on the set. Wayne wasn’t bullshitting you, but that was taken out of context, and to an extreme [online].”
“We’ve filmed so much stuff and at this point nobody but me knows what we’re going to use or not use. There are more shots of Michael Myers running around in his mask in this movie than in any of the other movies. I don’t think anybody has to worry. Yeah. Michael Myers never looked so good.”
Recounting the story of Myers’ return to Haddonfield, Illinois, “H2: Halloween 2” will see the masked serial killer taking care of some unfinished family business. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable. The horror will invade U.S. theaters on August 28 this year.

What is accidentally obtained by Shia LaBeouf’s Sam Witwicky which makes him a target of the Decepticons in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” has been unveiled. During an interview with IESB, LaBeouf shared that Sam has a vision about symbols which are later known as a map leading to the robots’ origins.
“These things just start popping up into his head,” LaBeouf explained. “And he’s seeing symbols and comes to find out the symbols are a map which lead to Decepticons, or the Autobots to the Energon source that is still being held here on Earth.”
“Decepticons and Autobots need Energon to create armies, to revive fallen comrades, to create new worlds, to create armies – to do everything. It’s their main resource. And the little bit that’s left here, the only way to find it is through this map and the only way to use the map is through my mind. And so they stop my little stint at college to handle business.”
Beside talking about the Decepticons’ secret, LaBeouf also managed to note that the movie is “a win for everyone” because in addition to feature many robots, it will also have lots of humor. “There’s a lot more humor and there’s great additions in terms of character and cast and you see more robots. So it’s a win for everyone I think.” he stated. Full interview of Shia LaBeouf can be found on IESB.
“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” itself is due to come out in U.S. on June 24. It features the likes of Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson in addition to Shia LaBeouf.

Box office mojo reports that Warner Bros. have delayied the release of the ‘Green Lantern‘ movie from 12/17/10 to 6/17/11, Green Lantern will now go directly head to head with Marvel Studios ‘Thor’which is released on the same day.

Robert Rodriguez recently chatted to IGN and gave some idea of the directing he will be taking with ‘Predators‘:
“We’re hiring new writers and a director and I’m going to produce it over at Troublemaker with Fox to try and reboot the series in a really great way,” Rodriguez told IGN. “So I’m not sure if we’re going to follow the old script or keep that title. At this point, it’s still early on.”
The multi-hyphenated filmmaker also revealed that the non-sequel will go back to the franchise’s origins and will have little to do with the Alien vs. Predator films of the last few years.
“This is something else,” he said. “This is more like the first movie, but in a new way. Just rebooting the series in a whole new way. Not a remake, but more like what they did with the Batman series. They just started over. You know? Let’s just start over using a different approach to it. We’ll take the character everybody loves, but let’s rethink it and make it for the time. Because the first one was made 20-plus years ago. So you want to do something more updated.”
There’s no cast in place at this time, either, but Rodriguez said, he has “a few ideas.”

Wes Anderson’s stop-motion animated adaptation of Roal Dahl’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox” test screened in New York this weekend and The Playlist have some news of the cast in the film.

A couple of days after the filming of a car chase sequence went horribly wrong, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” is hit with another mishap. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, May 6, nine crew members of the drama fantasy movie suffered minor injuries as a result of a car accident near the film’s Times Square set.
This most recent incident took place at about 3:28 A.M. when a New Jersey woman, Laura Conti, crashed her SUV near the set. According to police, Conti was driving her SUV south on Seventh Avenue when swerved to avoid a taxi that had cut into her lane. Instead of hitting the taxi, her car collided with two parked cars before jumping the curb at West 51st Street, where crew members were sitting.
“Sorcerer’s Apprentice” filming crew had finished shooting for the night, but were still at the scene when the incident occurred. They suffered bumps, bruises and minor cuts. They were treated at hospitals before being released and are expected to make a full recovery. Police are investigating the incident.
On Monday, May 4, “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” has been hit with a car crash accident after a car used in a shooting of a stunt scene lost control and careened into a pizza parlor. The incident caused a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both of whom were bystanders, to suffer minor injuries.
“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” is based on the popular “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” segment in Disney’s animated film “Fantasia“. It will center its story on an apprentice, played by Jay Baruchel, who is left to tend to a magic workshop when his sorcerer master, portrayed by Nicolas Cage, leaves it in his hands. Trying to make his job easier he gets a broomstick to do the chores for him, but he finds himself in trouble when the broom develops a mind of its own. This Jon Turteltaub-directed film is set for U.S. release on July 16, 2010.

“Green Lantern” won’t be coming out in theaters in December 2010, it has been reported. According to Box Office Mojo, Warner Bros. Pictures have decided to shift the release date of the superhero movie to June 17, 2011, sixth months later than its original schedule which was set on December 17, 2010.
There are yet words on the reason behind the shuffle, though some indicated that the lack of lead for the movie may have something to do with it. No words are also disclosed on whether this schedule change will affect the September shooting plans in Australia or whether it is done to give director Martin Campbell more time for post-production.
“Green Lantern” will tell the story of Hal Jordan, an ordinary test pilot who is suddenly given the task by dying alien named Abin Sur to protect the space using a green energy-powered ring. Pre-production for the movie scripted by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green is set to begin in July. Earlier, “The Hangover” actor Bradley Cooper has been reported to be a potential candidate to star as the titular character.
As for other reports regarding Warner Bros. movies’ release date, Box Office Mojo pointed out that “Happy Feet” sequel, “Happy Feet 2“, has been set to dance into theaters across the U.S. on November 18, 2011. Meanwhile, Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” has been moved from October 8, 2010 release to March 25, 2011.
