The final result of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 8 did not fall from predictions. Having been judges’ favorite since her audition, Melanie Moore was announced as the champion on the Thursday (August 11) show, with 47 percent of total vote.
Another female dancer on the top four, Sasha Mallory, was placed second. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Marko Germar, who once made Lady GaGa cry with his routine on Top 8 performance night, and 25-year-old Tadd Gadduang were the third placer and fourth placer respectively.
On the final result show, all top 20 dancers from this season returned to stage to perform. The judges, that include Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Robin Antin and Lil’ C, picked the routines that were performed by the contestants that night.
Later, the top 10 dancers from the season are scheduled to embark on a 32-city tour on September 17. The stops include Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City on September 30 and the Prudential Center in Newark on October 4.
A bad case of influenza forced actor Joey Lawrence to scrap an appearance on U.S. TV personality Wendy Williams’ daytime talk show on Tuesday, September 21. The former “Blossom” star was expected to join the outlandish Williams to promote his latest TV series “Melissa and Joey” but the 34 year old had to call in sick after catching a nasty cold from his eldest daughter Charleston.
But he delighted the studio audience by calling in from his sick bed to apologize for his absence. He told Williams over the phone, “I got it bad. I have two children and my four-year-old girl got it (the flu). I had to take her to school because my wife – we have a six month old girl – she had to be quarantined so she didn’t get sick, so of course I took her (Charleston, to school) and I got it! Four year old cooties are the worst, man!”
“It’s horribly bad so I apologize for not being there,” he adds.

Burbank, CA (March 29, 2010) – Having admitted that she was the mysterious blonde who kissed Joey, Bianca is on the outs with Chastity and the in crowd, and Kat invites Patrick for a family dinner during which the duo dishes up a fun prank to play on Walter, in an all-new episode of ABC Family’s original series “10 Things I Hate About You,” premiering Monday, April 5th (8:00 – 8:30 PM ET/PT). The episode, entitled “Don’t Trust Me,” was directed by Gil Junger and written by Carter Covington and Robin Schiff.
Meanwhile, Joey and Bianca decline the superlative, “Cutest Couple,” in an effort to keep the peace with Chastity, and Cameron relishes the fact that he was named “Mr. Dependable” alongside a school hottie. Ultimately, Bianca has to decide if her “real friends” would make her choose between Joey and them.
“10 Things I Hate About You” is executive produced by Carter Covington. Larry Miller reprises his role as Walter Stratford, the over-protective father to the Stratford sisters — Kat, a feminist with a razor-sharp tongue, portrayed by Lindsey Shaw (“Aliens In America”), and Bianca, a girl with a plan to climb the social ladder at her new school, portrayed by Meaghan Martin (“Camp Rock”). Ethan Peck (“Adopt A Sailor”) takes on the role of resident bad boy, Patrick Verona. Nicholas Braun (“Princess Protection Program”) portrays Cameron James, Padua High’s “nice guy,” and Dana Davis (“Heroes”) will portray head cheerleader Chastity Church.
