Posted by: | CommentsWeeds TV Show, a golden globe winning comedy drama, which moves around widowed mom Nancy Botwin. After her husband’s death and economical sufferings, she adopts a new profession. Nancy Botwin resorts to selling marijuana (a type of drug) to support her family in the fictional suburb of Agrestic, California. It apparently seems that every one what she’s selling also including a city council man.
Weeds’ explores the dirty secrets behind the beautiful closed doors of this rich community. Series follows Nancy when her husband dies of a heart attack and she’s now the head of the family. Financial crisis are following her daily routine and there’s no option to earn money. She then turns to Conrad Shepard and his family to sell cannabis using a fake bakery to move the goods. Her new means of income are of type which she can’t share with anyone so she tries to hide it from her mistrustful PTA members and from her neighbors. She can’t share it with her children, Shane and his brother Silas, who’re also in mysterious condition after the death of their dad. Also in cast are Andy, Nancy’s brother-in-law; Dean Hodes, Celia’s husband; Isabelle, Hodes’ daughter; Peter, a single dad. Weeds was premiered on August 7, 2005 and season 3 finale was aired on 11-19-2007.
